Message
A boy brought his examination results home, to his parents at the end of the school term. He passed all his subjects except one. He had four distinctions, upper credits, and other good grades but failed Mathematics. That is an incomplete success or partial success. Some children in the Bible like Daniel, Joseph, and Esther had all-around success. They succeeded spiritually, academically, health-wise, and financially. This is an all-around or complete success.
A child that is brilliant in school but disobedient to teachers and parents does not have complete success.
Our Bible passage introduces us to Hezekiah the son of Ahaz king of Judah. Hezekiah had all-around success. “And the LORD was with him, and he prospered whithersoever he went forth: and he rebelled against the king of Assyria, and served him not.” He rebelled against the king of Assyria who was oppressing him.
Hezekiah fought all his enemies, including the Philistines, and defeated them all. You must fight and overcome all sins, laziness, academic failures, and everything that is not God’s will for your life.
This is an all-around success. The Lord Jesus Christ came to give you all round success. He said”… I have come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.” (John 10:10b) You must make Jesus Christ your friend and Teacher to enjoy the blessing of all-around success.

Prayer for today
Lord, open my eyes to see the need for all-round success and not be satisfied with partial success. Amen.
