Key Verse
“For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.” Psalms 116:8
Text — Psalms 116:6-10
Message
A person dies when his soul is separated from his body. He cries when his eyes are dripping with tears, because of pain, sorrow, and hopeless condition. A person also falls when he can no more stand erect on his feet or when he can no longer accept or support what is godly and righteous. These three conditions are the worst situations a person can find himself.
The Psalmist found himself in these conditions seeing that his enemies were many and strong. They planned to destroy him completely. Then he acknowledged God as the only One Who could help him out of the snares of the wicked, the One who can give rest to his soul and deal bountifully with him. Through God’s mercy, the Psalmist was eventually delivered and he sang praises unto God. God is still answering prayers and setting the oppressed free.
Whatever you may be passing through now, be it oppression from the wicked, failure, sickness, lack, or fear of the unknown. Do not be troubled, cry unto God and He will deliver and set you free. What you will get will be a multiple-fold deliverance and blessings.
