A Matter of Treasure.

Key Verse

“A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.” Matthew 12:35

Text — Matthew 12:33-37

Message

We all have hearts and we all think and imagine. But what makes one heart different from the other is the thoughts that go on there at a given time. Our thoughts and imaginations are treasures to us. We do everything to hide them from those around us. As people hide their treasures: and precious things, and would not permit anyone to steal them, so do we hide and protect the thoughts of our hearts. Some of us will be very ashamed, though, if the thoughts of our hearts, at a given time, are discovered.

It is well said that “a man is not greater than the thoughts of his heart.” Our Lord, Jesus Christ says, it is easy to know a good and an evil man (boy or girl). We cannot see their treasures or thoughts, but we can clearly see their actions and hear their words.
The people around you can easily know whether you are good or bad by your attitude.

The thoughts you permit in your heart matter to God. Your actions are the fruits of the thoughts of your heart. A clean or godly heart will make you produce righteous and godly fruits or actions, and a wicked and stubborn heart will show in your evil and harmful conduct.
Jesus can give you a new heart and bless you with godly words and conduct.
