Where Is Your Trust?

Key Verse

“He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch” (Proverbs11:28).

Text —Proverbs 11:23-28

Message

We place our trust in many things on a daily basis, like trusting a chair to hold us as we sit on it.  However, many do not have confidence in God to keep them as seen in this illustration of sitting on a chair without fear that the chair may not hold us. The unregenerate find it easy to put their confidence in Man but would doubt the word of God. They fail to understand that it is only God who cannot fail because He does not change.

Where is your trust? In your parents, talents, or ability? All these are limited and can fail. You need to have a strong faith in God and in His word. Youths who have not given their lives to Christ cannot truly trust in God because Satan will always put doubts in their hearts. You need to be born again for God to input faith into your life as faith is one of the nine components of the fruit of the Spirit that indwells a believer at salvation. Christians are equipped with faith which moves mountains.
