“Walking In The Light – Part 1”

Key Verse

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7

Text — 1 John 1:5-7

Message

Light is the opposite of darkness. No one can walk in the dark and not stumble or fall. Jesus is the Light of the world, whosoever walks in Him and with Him will not fall or miss his/her way. One night, Linda was doing her school assignment in the sitting room while her mom was in the kitchen. Suddenly, the lights went off and everywhere became dark. Linda started screaming, calling out to her mom because she was scared. Her mom shouted out to her to come and meet her in the kitchen, thinking that she could find her way there. Linda kept shouting, telling her mom she could not find her way and did not want to fall as she might get injured. Her mom quickly came out of the kitchen, picked the flash light where it was kept and switched it on. Linda was able to walk in the light to join her mom in the kitchen.

As Linda could not walk in the dark until her mom lit up the sitting room, so it is that no one can walk with God without following Jesus Christ, the light of God. The journey of life is like that. You must walk in the Light of God so that you will not stumble or fall. You must become an intimate friend of Jesus in order to be able to walk in Him and with Him. Your walk with Him must be constant, an everyday event so that you will not miss your way. Trust in Jesus, walk daily with Him and be a victorious child every time, everywhere and every day.
