The Virgin Birth Is Factual

Key Verse

“Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us” (Matthew 1:22, 23).

Text —  Matthew 1:18-25

Message

One important Scriptural fact about Jesus Christ is that, He was miraculously conceived and born by the Virgin Mary. Christ’s virgin birth upholds His deity. It singles Him out as the only sinless man on earth, void of Adamic depravity. This qualifies Him to meet God’s demand for a substitutionary death for the sin of humanity. The virgin birth is not only unique but is also established as an indisputable biblical fact. God first unveiled the virgin birth of Christ, referring to Him as the Seed of the woman. Prophet Isaiah prophesied that Jesus would be born of a virgin. Mary herself said to the angel, “…How shall this be, seeing I know not a man” (Luke 1:34)? Friend, do you doubt the virgin birth of Christ?

Believe it, the virgin birth of Christ is factual. The chastity of Mary is instructive and challenging to all youths, particularly in an era when immorality is promoted and celebrated. Like the four virgin daughters of Phillip the Evangelist, Christian youths should flee youthful lusts, embrace holiness and maintain moral purity. Happy International Youth Day!

  1. It is the Hallmark of Greek/Roman mythology. The idea of God mating with women is absent in Jewish theology. The woman in Isaiah 7:14 is Isaiahs wife, who happ ns to be the prophetess. Immanuel is Isaiah second son. The main prophecy is in verse 16. Not 14.

Jesus is just a Greek/Roman myth.
