The Possibilities Of Praises
Saturday, March 21, 2026Key Verse
“And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance… and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much” (2 Chronicles 20:25)
Text — 2 Chronicles 20:20 – 27
Message
“When praises ascend to heaven, then wonders descend” is a popular saying among Pentecostal Churches. The account of 2 Chronicles 20:20-27 illustrates the possibilities of praises and manifestation of God’s presence to identify with His children to bless them. King Jehoshaphat and the people of Judah were faced with an intimidating and relentless enemy, but instead of giving in to fear, they chose to trust God and praise His name. God in response did wonders on their behalf, causing confusion among their enemies and granting His people victory.
The case of Paul and Silas in Acts 16:25 also serves as a reminder to believers that genuine praise often precedes great manifestations of God’s intervention in the affairs of His people whereby, He grants them desired victories. Praising God shifts our focus from our challenges to the greatness of God. Praises not only magnify God but invite His presence into our situations. Surround yourself with the atmosphere of praise and witness great possibilities in your life. However, praising God has to be accompanied with a holy life for it to be effective.
