“The Only Way”

Text — Mark 8:34-38
Message
Carmella had planned to eat the cookies she took to school during break time. Just about the time to eat the snacks, the Spirit of God asked her to share them with Kamsy who had yet to have any meal that day because her family was going through a difficult time financially. Although she would have loved to eat everything alone, she obeyed God.
Submission to God is the only way to please Him. Submitting ourselves to God means that we obey and follow Him wherever He leads, choosing to give up our desires and will for His own. God demands submission from you. He wants you to submit to your parents and teachers as well, if doing so would not go against His word.
Submission begins when the sinner truly repents of all sins and accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. It continues with daily denial of self in preference for God’s will and instructions, as shown by Jesus Christ, our perfect Example. Submission makes our lives beautiful. With a submissive heart, God is able to work without restraint, beautify our lives and give us a joy that can only be enjoyed by the submissive one.
