Key Verse
“And the word was made flesh and dwelt among us” (John 1:14).
Text — John 1:1-5
Message
The word ‘incarnate’ means to be given a human form. As it applies to Christ, it means Christ, with divine personality, given the form of man without diminishing His divinity. Divine and human nature joined in Christ (Colossians 2:9) to reconcile man with God and save man from God’s righteous judgment, to reveal God’s love to man, to show man the perfect model of holiness, and to make a saved person a partaker of the divine nature (2 Peter 1:4). Since Christ’s incarnation, God is now approachable, and no more far away. Through faith in Christ one can seek a relationship with God through repentance.
Friend, our text begins with, the ‘Word’ or ‘Logos’ and that is Jesus – “In the beginning was the Word…” The existence of Jesus is from eternity and He is the Giver of life and light. With the same power that He made all things before His incarnation, He also employed on earth in His incarnation, as He saved, healed, delivered and raised the dead to life. He is the same yesterday, today and forever. Take your burdens to Him.
