Message
John of Kronstadt states, “As the Holy Trinity, our God is One Being, although Three Persons, so, likewise, we ourselves must be one. As our God is indivisible, we also must be indivisible, as though we were one man, one mind, one will, one heart, one goodness, without the smallest admixture of malice – in a word, one pure love, as God is love.” All genuine Christians believe in one living and true God who is the Creator of heaven and earth; who is eternal, Almighty, unchangeable; infinitely good, wise, just and holy, and exists in Three Persons.
Christians generally unite in proclaiming that God eternally exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Those who deny that truth place themselves outside the rank of Christian belief in that mystery. We believe in the Trinity for at least three reasons: The Bible teaches this doctrine; Christians everywhere have always believed it; and no other explanation makes sense. As someone has put it, ‘If you try to explain the Trinity, you will lose your mind. But if you deny it, you will lose your soul.’
