Text —Luke 1:5-24
Message
“In the presence of trouble, some people grow wings: others buy crutches,” wrote Harold W. Ruolf. This reflects Elizabeth’s life as shown in our text. She trusted in God amidst life’s challenges. Like many women of faith, she had her fair share of fertility struggles. Her story offers us fresh encouragement for each day of trial in our lives as believers. There are sterling qualities in her life that made her stand out as a pious woman. She served God with her husband in holiness. She was patient in waiting for the fulfillment of God’s promise without complaining. She had faith in God. On this International Women’s Day, pray for women to learn from Elizabeth.
Friend, you need to remain obedient and faithful to God even if you have not seen the fulfillment of His master plan for your life. Whether you want to have higher education, start a business, initiate a mentorship programme, or whatever it is, put your trust in God; and doors will open for you. God specializes in doing the impossible. Never lose faith in God’s unchanging power.
