Servants Must Serve Well
Thursday, December 11, 2025Key Verse
“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily as unto the Lord, and not unto men” (Colossians 3:23)
Text — Colossians 3:22-25
Message
A servant is a steward. The Greek word for a steward is oikonomos, meaning the manager of a household. As managers of the household of faith, in whatever capacity we may find ourselves, we are called to serve God and man willingly, excitedly, lovingly and loyally. As a genuinely converted youth, serving God in the school fellowship, home fellowship, choir, rescue team, and as school visitors, or students’ instructors, we should do the work with committed to our care faithfully with grace and humility.
We can also serve by giving food to the hungry, water to the thirsty, clothes to the naked, and visiting the sick and broken hearted. We can also serve in the secret place of intercessory prayer. We must endeavour to serve well and do it heartily for God’s glory. For a youth to serve God and man acceptably and be blessed by God, such must be born again and free from hypocritical service. We should be forthright like Abraham, meek like Moses, courageous like Joshua and do all things to the glory of God.
