“Which doeth great things and unsearchable; marvellous things without number.” Job 5:9
Text — Job 5:8-11
Message
When God parted River Jordan for Israel to cross to the other side, He commanded them to pick out twelve stones from the river bed. These stones were to serve as memorials to remind the people of God’s miraculously act and faithfulness to His promise.
Some children have jotters or diaries where they usually write down peoples’ offences. They keep records of others’ wrong doings. They will not remember to keep God’s wondrous deeds in their lives neither will they remember to share testimonies of God’s goodness. This is not an acceptable attitude in God’s sight. He does not want us to keep record of offences, rather He desires that we forgive those who do wrong to us. Most importantly, He wants us to always remember what He has done and is doing in our lives and praise Him.
Has God answered a prayer of yours in an unusual way? Has He shown you His faithfulness at a time when you really needed Him to help you? One way in which you can remember God’s answers to your prayers, and the promises He has given you, is to write down what happened and the date on which it happened. You could also add verses from the Bible that became especially meaningful to you at the time. Write them in a journal or in the diary, you can also share testimony to encourage the faith of others and to show appreciation to God.
