Friday, February 14, 2025Key Verse

Text — Acts 1:12-14
Message
Prayer was the bond that kept the apostles and the believers in the early Church together. They spent much time praying in one another’s houses. They were praying for strength, courage to remain steadfast in their faith in Christ, grace to remain faithful to Jesus and boldness to preach His word though persecuted. The apostles said in Acts 6 verse 4“But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.” Prayer is the same bond that keeps families, churches and even nations together. The right to pray is given to everyone including children. We cannot afford to take prayer for granted in our lives as believers. We have to pray in the Church, family and when we are alone.
Yet, painfully many children do not like to pray. They close their eyes one second and in the next their eyes are already opened; looking at or talking to one another. You should not be like that. You must learn to pray in order to feel the Lord close to you, enjoy His blessings, and serve Him acceptably.
