Key Verse
“Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you” (2 Corinthians 6:17).
Text — 2 Corinthians 6:14-18
Message
Being a Christian is a special and privileged call to please and obey God in all things. God does not want duplicity in our relationship with Him. Hence Charles G. Finney said, “If you allow yourselves in any sins secretly, without having any human know it, know that God sees it, and that He has already written down your name, hypocrite.” Paul told the Corinthian Christians not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers.
As a Christian youth, avoid fellowship with sinners; do not do any unclean thing. These unclean things include evil thought, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, and pride (Mark 7:21,22). If you have been defiled, repent, and be cleansed with the blood of Jesus. As you follow the Lord by faith, remain holy, obedient and faithful. If sinners entice you do not consent. Do not partake in sinful pleasures with your peers. Keep yourself pure then watch and pray. Sinners should not be your intimate friends because they will turn your heart from the Lord. Make friends of God’s children and fellowship with true believers.
