Key Verse
“Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;” Titus 2:12
Text — Titus 2:11-14
Message
What does your teacher do? He or she passes on instructions that must be learnt or obeyed. Have you come by a pupil or student who chooses to reject all the instructions of his teacher? Such a student is preparing for failure. That is why the wisest and most successful students are those that abide strictly by the instructions of their teachers. Now, teachers are of different categories, yet they do the same thing.
Our Bible passage reveals to us a teacher you never physically see standing before you. He begins his work immediately you become a friend of Jesus; the difference between this teacher and your other teachers is that, he teaches us to follow the way of righteousness and the path of godliness. He instructs us to live soberly, righteously and godly everywhere we go. This teacher is known as Grace. It is dangerous to disobey the Grace of God.
As a student in the school of grace, you are to be obedient to his instructions. You must also please Jesus in all your thoughts and actions. This is the only way to enjoy God’s blessings on earth and rest in heaven at last.
