Key Verse
“If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship thy golden image which thou hast set up” (Daniel 3:17, 18).
Text — Daniel 3:13-22
Message
A bad report had been given to king Nebuchadnezzar, against the young Jewish trio, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. The reaction of the king was immediate and fierce against them after confirming that they would not worship his golden image. He commanded that they be cast into a furnace that was heated seven times hotter than it was supposed to be heated. His idol religious fervor had turned him against the three holy men that he had appointed to take care of the administration of the province of Babylon (Daniel 2:49). This is why Thomas Brook said, “Worldly glory is but a breath, a vapour, a froth, a phantasm, a shadow, a reflection, an apparition, a very nothing.” These young men did not care about the anger of the king, or the glory of their high political office. They cared only about God’s glory.
Friend, there are religious people today who want you to follow their false religions. But as a Christian, you should be steadfast in your faith like the three Hebrew youths who were eventually cast into the fire, but miraculously delivered.

Be steadfast in your faith

Hell fire is hotter than Nebuchadezar’s fire.
