Key Verse
““And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.” 1 Samuel 3:10
Text — 1 Samuel 3:6-10
Message
Samuel was very young when he heard the voice of God calling him. He initially thought it was Eli that was calling him, but after the third call, Eli understood that it was God’s call and instructed him on how to answer the call. God later called him again and he responded with “Speak; for thy servant heareth.” Then God began to tell Samuel the evil He would do to the house of Eli for the sins of his children.
For Samuel to be able to hear from God, he was first a child of God; secondly, he was always in the house of God; he also did not join the children of Eli to do bad things. If you want to hear from God, you must be a good child like Samuel who was obedient and so respectful. He would never argue with his parents or Eli the prophet or any other person. You must also desire to always be in the house of God and be ready to render service in His house. God still calls children today. If you want to hear God’s voice, you must repent of your sins and accept Jesus into your life. This step will make you experience a new level of sweet fellowship with God.
