Message
A United States’ Army Specialist, Chris Drake, died May 26, 2013 when a rocket – propelled grenade struck the vehicle he was in, in Afghanistan. “He made the ultimate sacrifice, one others wouldn’t attempt to try,” said his mother, Rose Drake. “I am proud of him for what he did,” A young girl said. “He didn’t just do it for me and his family, he did it for the whole world and that meant a lot to me.” Drake’s mother accepted the loss, and said she repected the fact that he died for freedom. Chris Drake’s testimony paints the correct picture of the kind of sacrifice Christ made over 2000 years ago.
Our memory verse of today tells of the love of God for mankind. Jesus died for the sins of the whole world. You can be free from your sins right now by sincerely confessing them to God, and admitting Jesus into your life. As you do this, determine henceforth, to surrender your life to Him and live for Him. You can thereafter be assured that you will not perish, but have everlasting life.
