Key Verse
“Some said, This is he: others said, He is like him: but he said, I am he.” John 9:9
Text — John 9:8-11
Message
Kenneth and Leslie were identical twin brothers. One day Kenneth failed to wash the basins his ten colleagues on the same dining table were to be served. The school’s cook then skipped their table. His hungry colleagues decided they were going to beat up Kenneth who caused them to go hungry. Unknown to them the person they assumed to be Kenneth was actually his twin brother, Leslie. On sighting the two brothers they were confused and began to ask, “which is he?” Kenneth looked up to them and said, “I am he”. Who could know you better than yourself? If no other person knows, you should know what has happened to you. One’s experience, someone said, is better told by himself.
That was the case with the blind man in our Bible passage. He was healed and saved by Jesus. It was a miracle for a man who was born blind to suddenly begin to see. The people who knew him before doubted and questioned. But he shouted “I am he.’ Jesus had made the difference in his whole life. You are the right person to testify of your salvation and deliverance.
If no other person knows, you yourself must be sure of what has happened to you. Are you actually saved from sin? Then, like the man in our text, make noise about it. Tell them about JESUS who did it.
