Message
Charles Grandison Finney said, “Nothing tends more to cement the hearts of Christians than praying together. Never do they love one another so well as when they witness the outpouring of each other’s hearts in prayer.”
Praying together is the driving force of believers. The strong and weak in faith can pray boldly together for a favorable outcome in times of uncertainty. There’s power in praying together. Peter and John were imprisoned, and the church prayed to result in their release. Then came the threats, the church which feared and revered only God prayed again, and the outcome was the infilling with the Holy Ghost and power.
In this end-time where people are faced with frustrations, fears, difficulties, and carrying out the great commission could lead to persecution, prayer should be our best resort. Through corporate prayer, believers find comfort, and hearts are opened to the needs of others. It leads to edification, joy, and a sense of love among brethren; in addition, it provokes unity and submission to the will of God in the Church. Our prayers should be centered on the advancement of God’s kingdom.
