Key Verse
“Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah1:18).
Text — Isaiah 1: 13-18
Message
Our text is not just talking about colour but the cleansing power that makes a sinner clean. Sin makes offerings of a man to become an abomination. The assembly or fellowship of sinful boys and girls is iniquitous before the Lord. God will hide His face from people having hands full of blood and will not hear their prayers. What is required of sinners is to come as they are in repentance before the Lord. No detergent can make a red material white. Only the blood of Jesus can make the vilest sinner clean. Repent and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out (Acts 3:19). God forgives and gives a new life. Only through Jesus’ sacrifice can we receive what no one else can give – a pure heart.
Purity is a scarce commodity today, but God is willing to honour those who are ready to forsake their dirty attires and take on the garments of holiness with it. To become as white as snow, one must be deliberate to live a pure life in this sinful world.
