“Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.” Isaiah 6:8
Text — Isaiah 6:5 – 8
Message
A man in the intensive ward in a hospital was in desperate need of a rare blood type for transfusion. When no one was found to donate, the man died. The tragedy of the story was that he suffered and died needlessly, because one of his relatives possessed that rare type of blood, but stubbornly refused to donate. Are you like this relative? Why are sinners around you dying and you refused to tell them about Jesus?
The present time we are in is referred to as a time of grace. This is because it is a period of the overflow of God’s mercy, a time where the door of salvation is still wide open for everyone who is willing to come in. However you must remember that the door of mercy will not remain open forever. In fact, the time is short and any moment from now, it will close and the judgment of God will come upon the children of disobedience. This calls for urgent action and God is looking for boys and girls who are able and available to call sinners in before the door of mercy is closed.
Isaiah has been a prophet in the land of Israel for years. But in the year that king Uzziah died, he saw the glory of God and became a changed man. He received the call of God to preach the message of salvation to a sinful nation. He surrendered his life by saying “Here am I, send me”. Think of this, if nobody has told you about Jesus how would you have known Him. It is wickedness not to tell sinners about Jesus. You have the ability but you must be available for Jesus to use you.
