Message
Impatience is the opposite of patience. Patience is the ability to wait without giving up. It is possible to wait with murmuring, bitterness etc., this type of waiting does not please God. Impatience shows that one lacks faith in God’s word and without faith, it is impossible to please God.
Mary was often showing signs of impatience at home. Whenever the meal was not ready, she will complain and become upset. Her mother would then scold her by telling her the effect of impatience. When Mary was to go for her final examination, she prepared very well by reading for long hours, unfortunately, when she was to write the examination, she failed to read through the instruction on the question paper. As a result of her impatience, she answered only two questions instead of five questions. Guess what happened, she failed.
Impatience is a destructive habit that you must not allow to grow in your life.
Remember, Esau, lost his birthright because of impatience. Remember Saul lost the throne because of impatience. Remember Absalom lost his life because of impatience. Be still and know that God is in control of all things.
