Hunger Is Good.

“Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Matthew 5:6
Text: Matthew 5:5-8
Hunger is the desire for food or some other things. Hunger is good but parents become worried when children do not want to eat for a very long time. Lack of appetite for food could be a signal that a child is sick.
However, hunger for physical food is not enough, because it cannot satisfy our spiritual needs.
As humans, we are meant to have both hunger for physical food and also for God and His righteousness. The truth is that, it is only God that can satisfy our spiritual hunger, because physical bread can only satisfy physical hunger. In Luke 4:4 Jesus said “….. It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.” God’s promise is that, those who desire righteousness would be satisfied and blessed with righteousness and other blessings. Are you not tired of bad behaviours?
Don’t you want to be made righteous? Have a strong desire for it, believe God for it, ask God in prayer and that experience of purity will be yours in Jesus’ name.
