“Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, A little folding of the hands to sleep: So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth; and thy want as an armed man” (Proverbs 24:33-34).

Message
Colin Powell, the great American statesman said, “A dream doesn’t become reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.” So you must have a dream which you must pursue. No human is born lazy, it is a learned habit. Laziness is not a personality disorder, but lack of purpose and discipline arising from low self-confidence. Laziness is just a mindset and a habit that can be broken. Unfortunately, many youths are caught in the web of laziness. Remember the wise saying, “No food for the lazy man.”
Laziness can cause huge losses to a youth that will negatively affect his or her adult life. The effect could range from academic failure, chronic poverty, mental disorder, low self-esteem, low self-worth, to contemporary social vices, such as armed robbery. God commanded that man should labour. A Christian should not be a sluggard or a loafer, but a diligent and hard working person. The scriptural law is that what you sow is what you reap. Thus, a youth must come to Jesus and partner with Him to provide excellent service for humanity.
