Key Verse
“And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.” Mark 10:16.
Text — Mark 10:13-16
Message
Children are precious gifts from God to the families and society in general. This is the reason you should always say to yourself “I am a blessed child”. However, there are some things people do to children in our society that show they do not have proper regard for children as God desires. The government in many nations recognize the fact that the welfare of children is being neglected. Therefore, they often make laws like, the “child right acts” to protect the interest of children. The good news is that Jesus loves everyone; men, women, boys and girls. He does not discriminate.
People brought little children to Jesus. They could not come on their own because the multitude of adults that followed Jesus and His disciples would not allow children to come near Him. They would have felt Jesus was too busy to attend to little children. But Jesus was displeased by the action of the disciples, so He rebuked them, took the children one after the other and blessed them.
But thank God, today you can come to Jesus unhindered. The decision to give your life to Jesus, make Him your Saviour, and live to please Him always is yours. Nobody can stop you and do not stop yourself. Though you may be rejected by men, Jesus will accept and bless you. Now you can say to yourself again that “I am blessed”.
