Prepared For God’s Presence
Wednesday, December 17, 2025Key Verse
“Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully” (Psalm 24:3-4).
Text — Psalm 24:3-6
Message
Lon Woodrum once said, “I’ve never seen that Other World, Beyond time’s narrow shore, Where he has pledged that we shall live with Him forevermore. But though the map of that high world be oddly traced and dim, Because He’s there I’ll be there too – Sometime, somehow, with Him.” Heaven is the holy habitation of God where holy angels and departed spirits of saints dwell. Christ told His disciples before He left for heaven that He would prepare a place there and return to take them there.
David was a wise and thoughtful king. He knew he would not be on earth forever. His royalty or achievements would not exempt him from accountability after death. The two important questions he asked and the answers he got are sure parts of eternal rest in God’s holy hill for every heavenly-minded youth. To prepare for heaven, you need an intimate relationship with God through repentance, faith in Christ’s atoning sacrifice and holy living, without which no man shall see God. Friend, are you prepared to meet your God?
