Wednesday, September 10, 2025Key Verse
“Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before” (Philippians. 3:13).
Text — Philippians. 3:12-14
Message
There are some unpleasant situations that youths face in life – academic failure, delay in gaining admission into an institution of higher learning, loss of a loved one, financial hardship, etc. These perplexing situations often make some youths feel hopeless. They cry till they run out of strength and feel that there is no way out of the distress. Apostle Paul tells us what to do in times of distress and pain – forgetting what is behind! This means that you must not live in the past.
Friend, forget about your past defeats and failures. Sit down and take inventory to see if those failures came as a result of laziness or wrong friendship. If so repent, make conscious efforts to be diligent and cut off all bad friends. Maybe you suffered because of past sins, run to Jesus for cleansing; He will forgive you and rewrite your life story. Your future is glorious, move on from your past and reach forth to the blessings ahead of you. With God on your side, you’ll recover all you lost and have a blessed future.
