Text —Matthew 10:1-5
Message
In football, players train hard, compete fiercely, and aim to prove themselves for a place in their team. It is only those that are found worthy that are chosen and given the jersey of the team. To be in Jesus’ team demands genuine salvation, commitment, and obedience to Jesus’ teachings. Like football players who show dedication and skill, followers of Jesus must be ready to serve and show their character of love and humility.
Being chosen for Jesus’ team goes beyond personal merit; it is a call to present His message and share His love. It is a privilege to be selected with the responsibility to spread His message of salvation to sinners.
Just as a football team consists of players with different strength and attributes, all working together towards a common goal which is winning a match, believers who are members of Jesus’ team have different talents, qualities and roles within His church. Make yourself available to be selected into the winning team today!
