Key Verse
“As every man hath received the gift, even so minister the same one to another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God” (1 Peter 4:10).
Text — Matthew 25:14-23
Message
God gave every one of His creatures certain abilities and the capacity to realize them. The more we use our abilities or talents, the more God is pleased with us; it shows we appreciate Him. On talents, Benjamin Franklin has this to say, “Hide not your talents, they for use were made. What’s a sundial in the shade?” A sundial is a horological device that tells the time of day when there is sunlight by the apparent position of the sun in the sky.
Just like a sundial is obviously useless in a shade, one becomes useless in God’s sight if one’s talent stays concealed. What good are your skills and talents if you don’t put them to use? Excavate your old or hidden talents, polish them up, and start using them.
Talents could be in sports, writing, public speaking, teaching, leadership, caring, engineering, medical sciences, singing, drawing, and filming. Whatever our gifts are, God wants us to use them for the benefit of humanity. With prayers and diligence, your talent can even become a great income earner.

Prayer for today
Thank you God, for giving me talents.
Good evening, greetings from the UK! (I’m also Nigerian). These devotionls are a blessing; my grandma used to send them to me through WhatsApp but I took a break from my phone so I couldn’t access them anymore. But one day, I google ‘Daily Manna’ and found this beautiful website. I have trouble with consistency, but whenever I click on Higher Everyday, there’s always a message I need to hear. And the daily posting makes it even better. Thank you, Pastor (Dr.) William.
