Key Verse

Text —1 John 2:15-17
Message
The prodigal son wanted to experience the world so he requested that his father should give him his own inheritance. He collected it and wasted all he had trying to satisfy himself with all sorts of pleasures but at the end he was empty. Like the prodigal son, there are a lot of Christian youths that complain about holiness and wanting to explore the world of alcohol, immorality, drugs, smoking, gambling, examination malpractice, cultism, internet fraud and so on. In the process of basking in the allurements of the world, many youths have met their untimely death. Apostle Paul had to cry out that, “Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world…” (2 Timothy 4:10). Many are still forsaking the Lord today.
As believing youths, we must reject every attempt to allow our hearts to be overtaken with the fanfare of this world but focus on serving God and living the holy life, daily. Make up your mind to live for God and shun worldly or sinful practices in order to make heaven.
