Key Verse
“Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart” (2 Timothy 2:22).
Text —2 Timothy 2:19-22
Message
Any inordinate and unrighteous passion to go into an immoral act that will bring condemnation to the soul of a youth is referred to as youthful lust. Inordinate desires that originate from uncontrolled lusts in the heart have led many youths to pornography, masturbation, bestiality, homosexuality, early and unwanted pregnancies, venereal diseases, and so on. If you do not fight against lust gallantly, it can destroy your physical and spiritual life. Hence, the instruction of God is to flee youthful lust.
There is no tenable excuse to commit immorality. Therefore, do not allow any boy or girl to seduce you to sell your soul to the devil in exchange for illegitimate pleasures. If you are under intense pressure to yield to youthful lust, do what Joseph did (Genesis 39: 7-12). Run away from seducers, look away or create a distance between you and the object of temptation! Don’t be a victim. If you are lusting after anyone or addicted to any sexual perversion mentioned above, repent and open the door of your heart for Christ to come in. He will cleanse you with His blood.
