Text — Matthew 18:1-5
Message
Humility elevates self-reflection and self-awareness. It is the basic leadership strength and critical success factor. It is the gateway for other traits as empathy, authenticity and integrity. It was Gary L. Thomas who said that “Humility will become a passion for us when we realize that the more we put our own egos out of the way, the more the life and power and purpose of God can pass through us. When this happens, something glorious takes place. We get to experience the quality of eternal life without the taint of our own control and small ego demands”. It pays to be humble because it attracts divine favour and all-round promotion. “…for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble” (1 Peter 5:5).
Humility is the basic characteristics of heaven-bound Christians. Genuine humility can only be got through personal encounter with the Lord via salvation experience of being born again. You can accept Jesus as you recognise, renounce and confess your sins to Him. He will welcome you and give you the divine nature of humility.
