Message
Michelangelo said, “If people knew how hard I had to work to gain my mastery, it wouldn’t seem wonderful at all.” The people at the top of the ladder of life usually work harder and smarter than common men. We must form the habit of working hard. The bees are generally acknowledged as very busy and hardworking creatures. They are smart, industrious and vigilant in making the beehive, a place housing a colony of them and a honey production factory.
Our Lord and Saviour also demonstrated dutifulness in His earthly ministry. He said: “I must work the works of Him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh; when no man can work.” Success doesn’t come cheap as some lazy youths may think. They easily give up because they think their cases are different. Challenges are always there to discourage you as you are trying to work hard. In the words of Martha Graham: “Fire is the test of gold; adversity, of strong men.” Difficulty should make you strong and not lazy. Work positively, persistently and prayerfully in order to finish well.
