“Walk In The Light – Part 2.”

Key Verse

“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” 1 John 1:7

Text — 1 John 1:5-7

Message

To walk in the light is to walk in the footsteps of Christ. Wherever the light is, darkness disappears. Light and darkness cannot stay together and that is why darkness
cannot overshadow light.

The Bible expresses the fact that if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin. The light symbolizes purity, holiness and freedom from sin, while darkness symbolizes sin, impurity and separation. That is why you need not remain in darkness, but come to the light. The character of a child in darkness include doing things that are displeasing to God, like stealing, fighting, lying, disobedience to parents, gossiping etc., while the character of a child in the light entails speaking the truth in love, obedience, gentleness, humility and holy living.

The desire of Christ is that you do not remain in darkness but come to the light. The opportunity has come again, do not delay as delay is dangerous, come to Jesus and you will receive pardon. Then you will shine brightly and those around you will begin to see the light in you and they will testify of it.
