“Walk By Faith”

Key Verse

“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” 2 Corinthians 5:7

Text — 2 Corinthians 5:5-7

Message

A chick will always run to hide under the wings of its mother whenever it sees a hawk or other dangerous animals. No one needs to preach to the chick of the need to take refuge under its mother’s wings. The chick has faith that there is protection and security under its mother’s wings. Jesus Christ spoke about the sparrows who do not work, but have enough food to eat. These sparrows just believe that there would always be enough food for them as they fly from one zone to another. If tiny animals like the chick and sparrow can trust God for their daily provision, we humans should have greater trust.

We are called to walk with God by faith. How do we achieve this?

Firstly, as a sinner, you start your walk with God by trusting in the sacrifice that Christ made for you on the cross. You then willingly repent and accept Him as your personal Saviour and Lord. Secondly, you trust God and earnestly desire and pray to possess other basic Christian experiences. These experiences will strengthen your faith
to continue to trust God for your daily and future needs. The Christian journey demands that you walk by faith by trusting God, praying every day, reading, meditating on, believing and obeying God’s word. It is a life of absolute trust in God’s power to do all things. Be a Christian that is determined to walk by faith.
