“Vision For Mission”
Sunday, April 13, 2025Key Verse
“Whereupon, O King Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision” (Acts 16:19).
Text —Acts 26:13-19
Message
According, Dr. Myles Monroe, “It’s tragic to have a life without sight; but the worst thing that can happen to any man is to live without vision.” Immediately a youth surrenders his life to Christ by totally forsaking his sinful lifestyle, and wholeheartedly following Jesus, he is then given the task of bringing other people to Jesus (John 1:37-41). A clear vision of the person of Christ and His mission on earth is the needed catalyst for fulfilling this task (Luke 19:10).
In our text, we see Saul’s vision of Christ, and a clear description of Christ’s mission for him, “…for I have appeared unto thee for this purpose, to make thee a minister and a witness… to open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light…” Isaiah, too, saw a vision from heaven, and got a charge for mission (Isaiah 1:1, 8). True vision from heaven will always bring a mission from God. As a Christian youth, our mission from God, today, is to preach the gospel to every creature.
