Message
Doubts are cleared by verifying. This means that you should check whether something is true or right by comparing, examining or investigating. Dr. Paul Jinadu in his book, wrote about a Christian sister that God led him to marry. However, he feared to propose to her. The main fear was that she was white and he was black. He eventually sent a letter to her after he had relocated to another city saying, “Are you the one to come, or do we look for another?” Surprisingly, the sister said that she had been waiting for him since the Spirit had revealed it to her long before. They eventually got married and had children and a happy home.
John the Baptist, while in prison, began to doubt if Jesus who was busy doing miracles, whom he had introduced to the public as the “Lamb of God” was actually the awaited Messiah. His lonely prison condition had created doubt in him. He had to send his disciples to Jesus to verify and to confirm his belief in Him. You too should never fail to verify things.
