Key Verse
“And the men of Gibeon sent unto Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, Slack not thy hand from thy servants; come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us: for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the mountains are gathered together against us” (Joshua 10: 6).
Text — Joshua 10: 5-11
Message
Quick action entails “acting quickly or in the shortest possible time,” declares The Century Dictionary. It is pertinent and wise for one to cry for help when one needs it. Do not delay seeking or asking for help and advice when you are at a crossroads. To get quick action and early positive results, always tell God first before seeking human help, if necessary. If you discover that you are lagging behind in your academic work, ask for help early from your teacher or meet a class mate who understands the subject better than you do for assistance. Never die in silence by carrying your burden all alone. Remember Nicodemus? He consulted Jesus about his spiritual life and he was saved (John 3:1-16).Tell Jesus and help will come.
The Gibeonites, from our text, did not keep quiet at their distress moment. They sought for help promptly and they got it. God fought for them and gave them victory. If you seek God early for help in your life’s battles, you will surely triumph. Are you lost in sin? Cry unto God now for salvation.
