“Three In One”

Key Verse

“And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him.” Matthew 3:16

Text — Matthew 3:13-17

Message

The Godhead is also known as the Trinity. The Trinity is one of the Bible doctrines that many people do not really understand.

Many people wonder how three people can be referred to as one God. The Trinity means three in one Person. The nature of the coconut can help us to better understand how the Trinity works. The coconut fruit has three parts. One is the outer covering which is very hard. Then the inner white part which is very sweet when eaten. The third part is the water in the whole coconut fruit. These three parts make up the coconut fruit. The three parts do not mean we have three coconut fruits, it still remains one coconut with different functions.

The Trinity is made up three personalities namely, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. They are all one because they possess the same characteristics and functions. Our part is to accept the Trinity, believe and always obey the personalities in the Godhead. Great blessings await you as you obey.

  1. Dear Author,
I feel uneasy with the coconut symbolism of the Trinity. I don’t think that is scripturally sound and consistent with the commentary you offered.
The coconut symbolism suggest all the three persons of the Trinity exist as one person as the coconut, this is obviously not scriptural, as the the three exist as distinct separate persons (coconut) but they are one because they possess the same essence, qualities (like all the part of the coconut, each possess all the part )

    Thank you
