Message
As a child of God, the first thing that should come to your mind when you hear the word ‘Prayer’ is talking to God. Have you ever considered how powerful this communication can be? From our text we see how Paul and Silas through the power of prayers were set free. They refused to be overwhelmed by their present state to sing songs of sorrow while waiting for the final verdict. Instead, they turned to God who turned the situation around and were delivered. Hallelujah!
When we pray in the name of Jesus, we have the assurance that our prayers are answered. This explains why prayers are not to be seen as a recitation. Mountains are moved, chains are broken, giants are slain, problems are rolled away and we overcome the devil through prayers. You too can overcome your challenges if you pray in faith for the God who answered the prayers of the saints of old is not partial and will answer yours. Beloved before you pray, make sure that your heart is right with God so that your prayers will not be hindered.
