Text — Psalm 27:10-14

Message

A story was told of a little girl, named Blessing. She lived in a town in one West African country. She was deeply touched by the harmless and simple lifestyle of her neighbour, and decided to follow the family to a religious meeting. The Preacher that day gave a message that shows the picture of her bad lifestyle. She became sorrowful for her bad ways and in tears, prayed, turned from her sins and asked Jesus to forgive her. Her parents became displeased with her decision. They warned her of serious punishment unless she stopped loving Jesus, but she continued in her faith. She was later disowned and driven away from home. The parents did not ask after her or know where she was for many years.

Fortunately, the brethren in the fellowship accepted Blessing into their home. They sponsored her education through college. After graduating, she got a good job and also became engaged to a fine Christian young man. It was then she went in search of her parents. When they saw her, they became sorry for rejecting their daughter because of her faith in Christ. Do not be afraid when you suffer for Christ’s sake. Continue to love your Saviour, no matter the threat from people. God will take care of you
