John 8:11
Message
The story was told of a teacher whose student reported a theft case to. The teacher decided he was going to search every student to fish out the thief. The teacher however had his eyes closed as he searched through the students’ pockets. The thief however was already frozen as soon as the teacher’s hand got into his pocket to remove the stolen item. Rather than disgracing and stigmatizing the thief, the teacher rather slipped in a note with a life transforming message. It was a great pardon he received which changed his destiny.
Our Bible passage has similar story. The woman caught in adultery was supposed to be condemned to a shameful death. But Jesus rather than condemn, pardoned her and gave her salvation.
Take a few seconds and reflect on your life. Are there sins and evil deeds that are worthy of death hanging over you? Do not delay, Jesus still saves and pardons iniquities today. Turn to Him in prayer of repentance and experience unmerited pardon.
