Sin Separates From God.

Key Verse

“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:  But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear” (Isaiah 59:1-2).

Text — Isaiah 59:1-4

Message

God revealed the heaviness of sin when separation occurred after Adam and Eve sinned. Also, when Jesus Christ carried our load of sin on the cross, He cried, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” According to Theologians, God looked away because He can’t behold iniquity. Many a time we ‘feel’ God is not listening to our prayers. God is able to do anything you ask of Him, but sin creates a barricade between God and you, causing Him to hide His face from you.

We are called not to submit to the flesh or worldly standards, but to holiness in Christ Jesus. Living in sin is a clear indication that we have rejected the authority of God over our lives. If He has no authority over us, how then do we expect Him to do what we ask? Sin hinders our prayers from being answered and also separates us from God, both now and in eternity. Separation from God is an inevitable result of sin. Don’t wait to hear, “Depart from me, ye workers of iniquity.” Submit your life to Jesus now.
