“Quench The Fire”

Text — Hebrews 11:32-34
Message
One faithful afternoon, Susan was playing with her friends at the backyard when suddenly a fire erupted from her house. She screamed and alerted other neighbours who assisted her in putting out the fire using a fire extinguisher.
Our Bible passage reveals to us the heroes of faith who through faith did a lot of wonderful works. Through faith, they quenched the violence of fire and escaped the edge of the sword. Their wonderful deeds made them extraordinary. If you want to be extraordinary like them, you need to walk in close relationship with God.
Susan in the story above had a good relationship with her neighbours which made them assist her to put out the fire in her house. Is there any fire in your life or family that you need to put out or is there a fire of failure or defeat that has put your back to the ground? Then, what you need is a close relationship with God so He can help you to quench whatever fire that may be raging in your life. Be prayerful, watchful and obedient to God’s word. This is the sure way to victory.
