Message
Life is full of challenges and they affect both the old and young. Consider a scenario where the most brilliant student in a class fails a subject which he taught his classmates before an examination. How about the case of a youth with good performance in a qualifying examination but the name is omitted on the admission list? My dear, know that life is unpredictable and only those that put their trust in God can weather its storms.
In any circumstance, be it storms, persecution or famine, remember to rejoice in the Lord, while you fix your gaze on God, and not the situation. The Shunammite showed faith in God and his prophet, Elijah, thereby confessing positively, “It is well” even in the face of a seemingly hopeless situation. Prophet Habakkuk enthused, “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines…Yet I will rejoice in the LORD…” (Habakkuk 3:17a, 18). Never write off yourself or any situation as hopeless rather place your confidence in God and consistently affirm, “It is well.”
