“I Will Not Forget Thy Word”
Monday, May 5, 2025Key Verse
“I will delight myself in thy statutes: I will not forget thy word.” Psalm 119:16
Text — Psalm 119:9-16
Message
Some children easily forget themselves when it comes to play, food, drinks, friends, films and relations. Such children also forget the fear of God and get carried away by unprofitable freedom and pleasure. Our topic is a personal warning and promise. It is good to always warn yourself, else you become careless and do what God does not expect from you. Samson forgot God, forgot God’s word, forgot the work of God, forgot obedience to his parents, forgot righteousness; and he died a shameful death.
The psalmist instructs us that instead of forgetting God’s word, we should delight in it. We should remember its instructions wherever we go and be happy to obey God. What do you want to do today? Where are you going to and who do you plan to meet? Do everything according to God’s word in a way that will bring glory to the Lord. Do not forget the word of the Lord in your thoughts, word and action.
