Healing For The Broken Bone
Thursday, February 5, 2026Key Verse
“Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice.” Psalm 51:8
Text — Psalm 51:1-8
Message
The prodigal son was a beloveth child of his father. He had everything that could make him happy and comfortable for life. One day, this son yielded to Satan’s suggestion to obtain freedom from his lovely family. He then gathered all his share of the family inheritance and went to a far country.
The far-country stands for a state of backsliding and separation from our loving God. This was the condition of David the writer of Psalm 51. He did bad things and when he was rebuked by God through prophet Nathan, he became truly sorry. This is what made him different from king Saul who disobeyed God. When prophet Samuel pointed out his sins, he passed the blame to others instead of repenting.
The broken bone is a spiritual term used to describe the sinner’s life or state. David realized his sinfulness and repented. God accepted him back and also blessed him. God’s desire is for every sinner and backslider to repent so He can heal their broken bones. Are you a sinner or someone who has stopped loving Jesus? Come to God now. Be sincerely sorry for your bad ways, repent and ask for forgiveness and cleansing of your sins with the blood of Jesus. Do it now and God will cleanse you.
