“Give Your Best To The Master”

Key Verse

“And if ye offer the blind for sacrifice, is it not evil? and if ye offer the lame and sick, is it not evil?” Malachi 1:8a

Text — Malachi 1:6-8

Message

In the book of Malachi, the children of Israel were commanded by God to bring the best of their animals to offer as sacrifice to Him. It was a mark of great honour and respect to God. A time came that the offering of the children of Israel became unpleasant to God. This was because the children of Israel chose to give to God deformed and useless animals. Their actions made God very unhappy. God cursed them for such disrespect. We are always happy when people give the things we like to some of us. We used to receive such gifts with thankfulness.

In the same way, God is pleased when we give the best of what we have to Him. Note that Israel still gave to God, but they were giving Him their leftovers. What do you give to God? What and how you give to God will determine what you receive from Him. Give God your heart. Give Him the best of your time, talent, treasure, trust and thanksgiving. He will bless you in return.
